What could £100 a month
turn into?

At your age, time does most of the heavy lifting. Move the sliders and see what a little extra each month could grow to by 67.

In giltedge you do this on your real plan, and see exactly how many months it takes off your retirement date.

Could grow to, by age 67 £113,600 You'd pay in £42,000. Growth does the rest.

When Can I?

When can I stop work?

Pick the date you'd like to stop work and see whether your money lasts. Try another date and ask again. Nothing is saved.

What If?

What does that really cost?

A car, a wedding, school fees. Put in a one-off or monthly cost and see what it does to your future, before you decide anything.

How Much?

How much can I spend now?

Saving for later shouldn't mean missing out now. Choose how much you want to keep put by, and see how much more you could spend each month.

Illustrative example based on sample figures. Your results depend on your own numbers.

What the giltedge app is

  • A planning app that shows the maths behind your retirement
  • One flat price, the same whatever the size of your pot
  • For you, or for you and your partner together
  • A clear view between adviser reviews, if you have one

What it isn't

  • Not a bank, and it never moves your money
  • Not selling you pensions, funds or products
  • Not regulated financial advice
  • Not another spreadsheet to keep up

Quick questions.

What does it cost?

Nothing for the first 14 days, and you don't need a card to start. If you want to keep going after that, it's £15 a month or £150 a year, the same whatever the size of your pot. If not, just stop using it.

Is it a proper app?

Yes. giltedge is a full app that works on iPhone, Android, tablets and laptops. You get it straight from your browser instead of an app store: tap the button, sign up, and add it to your home screen in two taps. It opens full screen like any other app, and it is always the latest version.

How is this different from a free pension calculator?

A calculator gives you one number for one pot, based on what you type in that day. giltedge holds everything: every pension, ISA, savings account, your partner, your spending and future plans like a house or a career break. It projects them together month by month with UK tax, and your date updates whenever something changes.

Do I have to link my bank?

No. You type in your balances and what you pay in. Rough numbers are fine to start, and you can tighten them up later.

What happens to my data?

Your figures are only used to run your plan. They are never sold or shared. George only looks at your figures if you say yes. If you want to leave, just ask us and we'll delete your account and everything in it.

Is this financial advice?

No. giltedge is a planning tool. It doesn't recommend or sell products. It shows you the numbers so you can decide, or walk into a meeting with an adviser better prepared.
